Two weeks ago, we went in Stockholm to visit this big and nice city. Stockholm is the capital of Sweden and the most populous city in the Nordic countries. 2.3 million of people live in the metropolitan area. The city is spread across 14 islands on the coast in the southeast of Sweden at the mouth of Lake Mälaren, by the Stockholm archipelago and the Baltic Sea.
We planned 4 days to visit the most important things to see in this capital. We took the plane from Budapest and the return ticket is less than 85 euros so it was good. When you chose to travel in Stockholm, just careful to check where is exactly your airport because there are two airports to go in the capital. Of course, our airport was not so closed to the city, at 45 km, so you should pay approximately 16 euros for the bus to travel until the city.
Because the city is so big with these islands, we decided to rent bikes to be faster and it was an excellent idea. For 3 days, you must pay about 17 euros and you can use whenever you want bikes which are available in several parts in the city. You have just to know also to take some good clothes because the wind is often present in the city.
The only “problem” is that all of what you want to buy in Stockholm is more expansive than in France, so this trip was not cheaper. For example, if you want to buy a beer in a bar, you should pay at least 6 euros. Also, to go out in this city it so expansive, so we did not try.
Below you can see some pictures of this trip which was a nice trip. Of course, if you do not have too much money, it is better to visit another city which is cheaper.
