Student life

In SUA, we can do sport easily: we have opportunity to practice activities during our leisure time. There’s a University Sports Center near the dormitory, which permit to do sport without having to move in town. In this Center, there’s a multipurpose gym, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, tennis courts, and many others. « University days » are organised twice in a year with another university in Nitra, with sport competitions, cultural activities and social events.
There’s also the folklore ensemble « Zobor », composed of students of SUA divised in three groups: dancing, musical and girls choir. Furthermore, a theatre group plays and there are several associations that students can join.
There are also some bars and night clubs in the city: Luna disco cocktail club, Barracuda, Mexiko night-club, etc…
Housing
In Nitra, there are some accommodations or apartments that you can find if you want to stay during a period. But because we come in Nitra in the middle of the year, the majority of apartments are already rented. If you come at the beginning of the school year, you can search easily something. The price fluctuate between 200 euros and 400 euros, depend on what type of flat do you want.
So we decided to take dormitories in the Slovak University of Agriculture to facilitate our demarche. It is the University which attribute us a room and we do not have some documents to complete.
